In the third quarter of 2009, the Greater Chinese netbook PC industry's shipment volume saw sequential and year-on-year growth due to following reasons. On the demand side, first, the strong back-to-school demand in North America stimulated sales of netbook PCs in the region. Second, telecom operators in North America and China launched telecom service/netbook PC bundles, which helped to stimulate demand for netbook PCs. Third, the European market, which suffered from lackluster consumer demand in the previous quarters, has begun to see signs of recovery, benefiting the industry's shipment in the third quarter of 2009.
